Description
I think all of us know who Galileo is. He can be considered as "the father of science", the one who promotes scientific methodology: if the predictions of some scientific theory don't match the results of experiments, the theory must be discarded, no matter how "make sense" it is. He separates science from philosophy, and incorporate mathematics to write scientific theory.
The circles on the lower left corner are Jupiter with its four largest moons, or usually called "Galilean moons". In Galileo's day, people follow geocentric model of the universe, which states that all heavenly bodies revolve around the Earth. Galileo makes observations that these four moons are actually orbiting Jupiter, and not Earth. This, and many other discrepancies, lead to the acceptance of heliocentric model.

Sorry for the large png size, but if I make it into jpg, the picture quality decreases, especially the background. It becomes blocky/patchy (it is difficult to explain if you don't see it yourself).
